Heritage and Heirlooms – the unique stories behind everyday objects
Heirlooms and hand me downs are tangible reminders of our family’s journey across time and space. Candlesticks, blankets, prayer books and jewellery are treasured for the stories they tell about those who came before us. They can also be invaluable aids to help us uncover the truth about a family legend or chart the migration routes and social status of our ancestors.
In this interactive session, we invited members to tell us about the special object handed down in their family.
