The Journals are an essential aspect of the role and purpose of AJHS.

The original and scholarly content published is provided by a wide and knowledgeable cross-section of contributors. Articles cover a vast array of topics relating to the Jewish experience in Australia from literally the first day of British settlement through to contemporary times. Editing is to a high standard by academically qualified historians.

The Journal was first published by NSW in 1939 and Victoria followed suit in 1988. Today, the Sydney-produced Journals are published mid-year and the Melbourne-produced towards year's end.

Both Journals are sent in electronic form to all members worldwide with print editions optional.

Within the Journals' pages will be found a fascinating miscellanea of articles by both professional historians and lay enthusiasts alike.
